ArchiveViewer Java Web Start
There are several versions and configurations of the ArchiveViewer available. Use the correct version suiting your Java-Installation and the configuration matching your needs.
The current Java 5 version needs at least Java 5! Current Version is Java SE 6
If you just have Java 1.4 installed on your computer, please use the old Java 1.4 version.

Having done that, your browser may ask you what to do with this type of
file.
This usually means one of the following:
- You don't have Java (and thus JavaWebStart) installed. See below.
If you can't install the software yourself, please contact your System-Administrator.
- Or (typically happens to Linux-users) you have to tell your browser
which program to execute with this file.
You have to find a program
named javaws and tell your browser to use this for JavaWebStart-Applications.
- Anyway - contact your System-Administrator (or Thomas.Birke@helmholtz-berlin.de) if you have any problems running the ArchiveViewer.
Note:
During startup of the ArchiveViewer, Java Web Start will open
a dialog like the following:
Although the dialog makes a different suggestion, the only way to start
the ArchiveViewer via Java Web Start is, to acknowledge this warning
and press "Start" in this dialog.
